We are Young Explorers Abroad!
We believe in educating young African-American students who are under-privileged and have excelled academically, on the importance of traveling abroad. Our program was established in 2016, based in Dallas, Texas. Our goal is to expose teens, ages 15-17, and young college students ages 18-21 to various cultures, foreign policies and beauty all across the world.
We strive to share with them how this is another benefit for an education beyond the traditional classroom setting. We believe traveling will be the perfect stepping stone to help enlighten young minds on the misconceptions of cultures differences from their own.
Young Explorers Abroad will offer young adults passports and an opportunity to travel outside of the U.S. for the first time! Established speakers will be brought in to conduct workshops and share: various aspects of international and national travel, learning new cultures, exposure to new languages and safety precautions.
Opportunities to learn through independent travel of existing exchange programs will also be offered. Young Explorers Abroad is a non-profit organization with a 501(c) 3 status
